Trip to the Zoo

Just a few pics of our afternoon at the Calgary Zoo. There is a new exhibit of Stingrays. We can't touch them yet, but in April we will be able to. We'll be sure to be there for the 11 am feeding time too! Sonia likes their names, of course there is RAY Charles, X-RAY, Darth RAYdar, CalgaRAY, and a few others. We also saw lots of 'amazing' flowers (Rylees' words), picked a coffee cherry (when no one was looking), heard an Asian elephant trumpet, and sketched hippos. This plus 10 weather is fantastic. Beating the indoor blahs

The weather in Calgary has been quite chilly.  We go out everyday but not for long.  Sonia and Rylee are superb playmates and get along well, often going into a bedroom together and shutting the door to play for an hour or so.  Today they were in the mood to have their faces painted and mom had a few minutes to spare.  Mark is out playing hockey at the moment so we have free reign of the house!
